Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This app is a sleep tracking application for iPhone and Apple Watch. It records how long and how well you sleep, listens for night sounds such as snoring while you sleep, wakes you at a light-sleep moment inside a window you choose, and plays relaxing audio to help you fall asleep.

This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. By installing and using the app you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree with any part of it, please stop using the app and remove it from your device. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

2. Company Information

The app is operated by T.E.I.T.R. MANAGEMENT LLC ("we", "us"), the data controller for the information described below.

3. Categories of Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide during setup

When you first open the app you answer a short questionnaire about your sleep habits, and you set a sleep goal — your bedtime, your wake-up time and the days it applies to. You can also create reminders with a name and a time. All of this is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers.

3.2 Sleep and health data from Apple Health

With your permission the app reads sleep sessions, heart rate and step counts from Apple Health in order to build your nightly report and your trends over time. This data is read on your device and used only to render what you see in the app. It is never uploaded to our servers and never shared with third parties. The app only reads from Apple Health; it does not write to it.

3.3 Night audio recordings

If you allow microphone access, the app records ambient sound while you sleep. Recordings are analysed on your device using Apple's built-in sound classifier — no audio is sent anywhere for classification. Segments that the classifier identifies as relevant (for example snoring, coughing or speech) are kept as short clips so you can listen back to them in the morning.

These clips, together with their category, timestamp and duration, are uploaded to our servers so they remain available to you across sessions and devices. You can delete any clip from within the app, which also removes it from our servers.

3.4 Account data

The app does not ask for an email address, a password, or any social login. On first launch it generates a random anonymous identifier, stores it in the device Keychain and uses it to create an account on our servers. That identifier is the only thing linking your uploaded clips to you; it contains no personal information and is not derived from your name, phone number or email.

3.5 Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see or store your card number, billing address or any other payment credential. We receive from Apple only the fact that a subscription is active, which tier it is, and when it expires.

3.6 Automatically collected data

Our analytics and attribution providers collect standard technical information: device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, IP address, install and session timestamps, in-app events (for example opening the paywall or starting a night), and advertising identifiers where you have permitted tracking. This is used to understand how the app is used and which marketing channels bring users to it.

3.7 Support correspondence

If you write to us, we keep your message and contact details for as long as it takes to resolve your request.

3.8 Device permissions we request

PermissionWhyOptional?
Apple Health (read)Sleep sessions, heart rate and steps for your reports and trendsYes — the app works without it, with fewer metrics
MicrophoneRecording and detecting night soundsYes — nights are still tracked, without sound detection
Alarms and timersRinging your wake-up alarm even when the app is closed or the phone is silencedRequired to arm an alarm
NotificationsBedtime and custom reminders, and alarm backup notificationsYes — reminders are unavailable without it
App tracking (ATT)Attribution and measurement across apps and websitesYes — declining changes nothing about how the app works

Every one of these is requested at the moment it is first needed, and each can be revoked at any time in the iOS Settings app.

4. Sensitive Data and Its Special Status

Two categories deserve to be called out plainly.

Health data. Sleep, heart rate and step data read from Apple Health is health information. In line with Apple's requirements, it is used solely to provide the app's own features. It is not used for advertising, not shared with data brokers, not sold, and not disclosed to any third party. It stays on your device.

Audio recordings of your bedroom. Night recordings can capture voices and other sounds from your home. They are classified on your device; only the short clips the classifier flagged are uploaded, and only so that you can review them. They are not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train any model, and not made available to anyone but you.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. How We Use the Information

6. Third-Party Providers

The app includes the following third-party software:

Firebase Analytics (Google)Product analytics and aggregate usage statisticsfirebase.google.com/support/privacy
AppsFlyerInstall attribution and marketing measurementappsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy
Apple (StoreKit / App Store)Subscription purchases and receipt validationapple.com/legal/privacy

The app contains no advertising networks and no third-party artificial-intelligence or machine-learning services. Sound classification runs entirely on your device using functionality built into iOS.

We do not sell personal data.

7. When We Disclose Information

We disclose information only in these situations:

8. Security and Retention

Access to our servers requires the anonymous token issued to your device, and that token is held in the iOS Keychain rather than in ordinary app storage. Data on your device is protected by iOS file protection and by the device passcode or biometric lock.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection. If a breach affects your data and the law requires it, we will notify you and the competent authority without undue delay.

Sleep sessions, goals, questionnaire answers, favourites and reminders live only on your device and disappear when you delete the app. Uploaded sound clips are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's own schedule.

The app has a built-in account deletion function: it deletes your account on our servers and erases all local data, including recorded clips, in one action. No email to support is required.

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers and our providers may be located in countries other than yours, and using the app involves transferring data across borders. Where such transfers are subject to data-protection law, we rely on the appropriate safeguards available to us, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws additionally have the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use sensitive data for anything other than delivering the app's features. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, write to help@teitrmanagement.services. We answer within the period the applicable law allows.

11. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to Other Services

The app may link to websites and services we do not control — for example the App Store, or a provider's own policy page. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes or as the law requires. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app or through the App Store listing. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
